Wingnut "humor columnist" James Lileks has been demoted to beat reporter by his long suffering newspaper the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Evidently recognizing that "right wing humorist" is a world-class oxymoron (a la "jumbo shrimp" and "Justice Scalia"), the Star Tribune has cancelled Lileks' purported "humor" column and assigned him to general reporting duties, a task which Lileks readily admits he is spectacularly unqualified to do.
The crowning indignity? Lileks has lost his cherished "work from home in his jammies" telecommuting privlege, and will be forced to rejoin the commuting masses each day.
Naturally, the usual suspects (Malkin's Hot Air, Gleen Reynolds, Power Line, et al ) are aghast that one of their own might actually have to work for his paycheck.
